You have to admit that some people are vexed about the high cost of the monocle... but not because they would buy one at 3/4 the cost.

I think Pann might have mistyped (as she did with Nobel/Noble) and put that instead of NeX/Microtransaction. That's the chief concern atm, and of course there are the other more immediate ones and of course the longer tail concerns that many of you have mentioned here.

Problems as I see them, in order of importance:

1) Insanity of NeX/AUR items ($78 for a monocole etc etc).
2) Retaining some previous functionality concerning ship hanger and a "Disembark" function to go to CQ. I love CQ and am very excited about going that direction (WiS etc) but there are time I just want to not load it, and in the grand scheme not having it loaded automatically is far far far more important than having to dock AND disembark my ship when I do.
3) Selling non-vanity items in the AUR shop and the general backpeddling that appears to be going on from 1 year ago when everyone at CCP was saying unequivocally NO to microtransactions.
4) Also concerned about CCP's track record in abandoning projects half-way through and I really don't want to see this happen with CQ and WiS -- I want this to be fully fleshed out and functional as soon as humanly possible so I can be hanging with my bros at a shady Minmatar bar sipping Synthohol and being entertained by Gallente strippers.

I have one question I'd like answered if possible -- Was there any particular "train of thought" that lead to these shockingly high AUR/$ prices for NeX items, and if so, will this be divulged?

The problem isn't ****ing vanity items, it's about the fact that NON-VANITY items could potentially be bought using micro-transactions.

Vanity microtransactions do not bother me. Eve becoming a RL WvW (Wallet Vs Wallet) game does. It bothers me enough to post something I've never considered much less posted before...

Add me to the list of subscriptions that get cancelled the moment MT items become impactful on stats and performence, ie; ships, mods, ammunition, etc.
